Kurt holds his B.A. degree from Asbury College and his M.A. degree in Education from Rowan University. He has spent his entire adult life in Christian education through local churches, as a local church elder, staff children’s pastor, in denominational ministry at both the national and local level. Kurt has co-authored a manual for children’s ministry leadership training and has authored numerous ministry leadership articles and materials which have been published by Christian magazines and other organizations. He has recently authored a new book on Chronological Bible Storytelling for Children.
Kurt has served on the past as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Haluwasa Christian Outdoor Center and as a publisher representative. He also was appointed as The Christian & Missionary Alliance Metropolitan District Disciplemaking Ministries Director and served in that position for 14 years. He served for 6 years on the C&MA National Disciplemaking Ministries Team. Kurt also served as an interim senior pastor for a church in New Jersey that was redeveloped due to extreme church conflict and was able to help that church restructure within one and a half years into a viable le local church. . Kurt held a professional career in social work for public agencies and schools where he served 35 years on a clinical child study servng with learning disabled children and their families.
Kurt has served for the past 14 years as Chairman of the Board of Directors for The International Network of Children’s Ministry based out of Castle Rock, Colorado. He also conducts international training activities for INCM and serves in a volunteer position as the INCM Coordinator for INCM international training projects. Each year Kurt leads 2-3 teams for international training of pastors and children’s leaders and workers worldwide. In 2003 Kurt and his wife, Judy, were appointed to the C&MA National Retire and Refocus ministry leadership team. This ministry planned national conferencing and activities for the 55+ age group. Kurt also teaches annually at Philadelphia Biblical University and currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Alliance Redwoods Conference Grounds in California.
Kurt and his wife, Judy, have served most of their married lives together in local church ministry and international leadership training projects. He served as Children’s Pastor at Fellowship Alliance in Medford, New Jersey and both he and Judy now reside in their Utah, USA. Judy has also served for many years in church lay ministry co-teaches with Kurt on international training teams.
